Can't Get Away From These Guys

I was sincerely hoping and praying that once it was determined who the President was (I always knew Barak would be elected), that the Republicans would see the average American was sick of the politics of the last eight years. That somehow, someway, they would get it through their thick heads that we don't want politics as usual. What part of "change" didn't they get?

I understand that it is not just the Republicans who are responsible for this mess we are in as a country. The Democrats who were in office during that time have a responsibility.

The Congressional Republicans are being sore losers. A number of Congressional Democrats tried to work with the Republicans to get a bill that everyone could agree on without losing the core of the bill that would stimulate the economy and get people back to work. Some of the spending, like a water park in Florida, is questionable. But the overall spending is sound; at least from what I have read and heard.

The Republicans, to a man, in Congress did not vote for any stimulus package yesterday. They voted it down completely, even though it was changed by Democrats to reflect some of their thoughts. Apparently they don't like their own thoughts either, or they just have gotten so familiar with everything going their way that they cannot compromise now that they are no longer holding the majority. Personally I think it is the later...they can't get along and do something for the working class in this country.

Mr. Boehner and a few other key Republicans were bragging on national news this morning how no Republican voted for the bill. What the H***! What is there to be proud of? You idiots really think that you can win with this attitude? You lost...get over it. Your ideas didn't work...get over it! It is time for something new Mr. Boehner. It is time you really listen to the man on the street who voted you in office. The people in your home state of Ohio are losing their jobs, homes, savings, health care; while you brag about not supporting a stimulus package that might help solve some of these problems.

I don't like government spending anymore than the next guy, but to sit and do nothing is not the answer. The national debt will never be paid down in my lifetime or my childrens lifetime or even my grandchildrens lifetime, but to sit and do nothing is criminal.

The American people are strong. We are hard workers and are up to challenges but we are not stupid. At least the majority isn't, I don't know about the Republican side.

I believe Obama had several economists look at the bill and they said it would stabilize, so that makes me think that the Republican Party has totally lost it's mind. If this plan works, they will lose more seats in the house come next election because of their stubborn ways...

Oh, the Republicans voted in a black party chairman today...is that suppose to mean they are no longer a white elitist group? Just my own thoughts...I wish them well.
